How it plays

How does Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of the New Age play?

Matches are one-on-one fights viewed from a three-dimensional arena perspective. The objective is to deplete the opponent’s life bar before the time limit expires, while ring-outs can also decide a round on suitable stages.

Players use punches, kicks, throws, guards, sidesteps, and character-specific attacks. A Beast gauge enables transformation; Beast form changes the fighter’s appearance and expands offensive options. Arcade progression consists of successive battles, while versus play supports local two-player matches.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Bloody Roar 2: Bringer of the New Age?

Learn the normal attack properties before relying on Beast form. Light attacks are useful for starting pressure, while heavier attacks are better after a confirmed opening.

Keep enough Beast energy to transform at a useful moment rather than activating immediately. Practice blocking, sidestepping, throws, and character-specific Beast attacks in training or versus mode, and watch the timer when holding a lead.
