Speedy Gonzales
The playable Looney Tunes mouse character, known for his exceptional speed and quick movement.
How it plays
The game is viewed from a side-scrolling perspective. Speedy travels through linear platform stages, running across ledges, jumping over hazards, avoiding enemies, and collecting cheese and other items. The main objective is to reach the end of each stage while preserving enough health or lives to continue.
Stages are arranged as a sequence of themed levels with increasingly demanding enemy placements and obstacles. Progress depends primarily on timing jumps and learning safe routes rather than on solving elaborate puzzles. The game is designed for one player.
Plan your run
Learn the rhythm of each stage before rushing forward. Speed is useful, but stopping briefly to identify enemies, gaps, and moving hazards prevents many unnecessary hits.
Collecting items is worthwhile when it can be done safely, but reaching the goal is the priority. Use small, controlled movements near platforms and avoid jumping blindly into areas that have not yet scrolled into view.

Before you begin
Do not treat Speedy’s name as protection from hazards; careless contact still costs health or a life.
Watch the edges of the screen for enemies and obstacles revealed by scrolling.
Prioritize safe landings over collecting every item.
Cheese Cat-astrophe Starring Speedy Gonzales is a side-scrolling platform game developed by Cryo Interactive and released for the Sega Master System in 1995. It stars Speedy Gonzales, the famously fast mouse, in a cartoon adventure centered on navigating dangerous stages and collecting cheese. The game uses straightforward arcade-style movement, jumping, and enemy avoidance rather than complex exploration or role-playing systems. Its bright Looney Tunes presentation and brisk pace give it a recognizable 16-bit-era character, although the Master System version is technically more limited than contemporary console editions. Reception has generally treated it as a competent licensed platformer with appealing graphics and simple gameplay, but not as a standout entry in the genre.
