How does Choplifter play?
Each stage is viewed from the side and scrolls horizontally as the helicopter flies through a hostile area. The main objective is to collect prisoners from buildings or landing zones and return them safely to the base.
The helicopter can move through the air, land to load hostages, and attack enemy troops and vehicles. Fuel, ammunition, enemy fire, and the number of rescued prisoners affect the difficulty. Progression comes from completing successive rescue areas rather than from character upgrades or an experience system.

What is the best way to play Choplifter?
Approach landing zones cautiously and clear nearby threats before hovering over the prisoners. Keep the helicopter stable while loading, then leave promptly instead of remaining exposed.
Plan a return route before collecting a group. Conserve ammunition for enemies that block a landing or escape path, and avoid unnecessary low-altitude passes over fortified positions.
