How it plays
How does Choplifter play?
The game uses a side-view perspective. Each mission sends the helicopter through a hostile area containing prisoners, enemy vehicles, defensive installations, and a landing or extraction point.
The main objective is to reach the prisoners, land close enough for them to board, and carry them back to safety. The helicopter can move horizontally and vertically, fire at threats, and must avoid collisions and enemy projectiles. Progress depends on rescuing enough people while keeping the helicopter operational; later areas demand more careful positioning and timing.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Choplifter?
Approach rescue sites from a direction that gives the helicopter room to retreat. Clear nearby threats before landing whenever possible, because the aircraft is vulnerable while stationary and while passengers are boarding.
Make short trips instead of staying over a camp for too long. Watch the screen edges and enemy fire, preserve movement space, and prioritize safe extractions over unnecessary attacks.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Use brief firing bursts while moving so the helicopter remains harder to hit.
- 2
Land only when there is enough clear space to lift off immediately.
- 3
Rescue objectives are more important than destroying every enemy.
