How it plays
The game is divided into three campaigns. The first uses a third-person perspective as John McClane fights through the Nakatomi Plaza; the second presents on-rails shooting sequences inspired by Die Hard 2; the third focuses on driving through New York while pursuing criminals from Die Hard with a Vengeance.
Players shoot enemies, rescue hostages, avoid hazards, steer vehicles, and complete scenario objectives. Progression comes from clearing stages in sequence, with each film-based section using its own rules, weapons, hazards, and scoring priorities.
Plan your run
Learn the rules of each section instead of treating the whole game as one shooter. In the first scenario, use cover, search rooms carefully, and prioritize immediate threats near hostages.
In the shooting and driving sections, accuracy and route control matter more than simply moving quickly. Watch for environmental hazards, preserve health when possible, and memorize difficult enemy or traffic patterns after failed attempts.
Meet the cast

Before you begin
The three sections require different approaches: exploration, target shooting, and vehicle control.
Keep moving between shots in the third-person stages, but avoid rushing into rooms or hostage areas.
Use repeated attempts to learn traffic routes and enemy patterns in later stages.
Die Hard Trilogy is a 1996 PlayStation action game developed by Probe Entertainment and published by Fox Interactive. It combines three distinct scenarios based on the first three Die Hard films: a third-person shooter, a light-gun-style shooting game, and a driving game. Each section follows John McClane through a different crisis, giving the package a broader structure than a conventional single-genre title. The game was noted for its variety, cinematic presentation, destructible environments, and ambitious use of the PlayStation hardware. Reviews generally praised the amount of content and the novelty of combining three gameplay styles, although control differences and uneven difficulty were common criticisms.
