Goku
The central Saiyan hero, using martial arts, ki attacks, and Super Saiyan transformations.
How it plays
Battles take place on open, side-view arenas where fighters can move, fly, charge energy, guard, and launch physical or ranged attacks. The objective is to reduce the opponent's health before time expires.
Story progression follows alternate scenarios from the Dragon Ball Z timeline. Players select teams, unlock additional fighters and episodes, and use support characters or cooperative attacks to turn the battle. Versus play provides direct matches outside the main scenarios.
Plan your run
Use the arena vertically rather than staying on the ground. Moving above or below an opponent can create openings for charged attacks and makes some projectiles easier to avoid.
Save energy for moments when the opponent is recovering or trapped. In team battles, switch or call support strategically instead of spending every resource immediately.
Learn each fighter's transformation and ultimate-attack requirements. A patient approach is usually safer than repeatedly attacking into an opponent's guard.

Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors is a 2D fighting game developed by Cavia and published by Banpresto for the Game Boy Advance. It adapts the Dragon Ball Z storyline through fast aerial battles, energy attacks, transformations, and team-based support techniques. The game includes a story-focused mode, versus matches, and additional challenge-oriented play. Its compact presentation makes extensive use of recognizable characters and events from the anime while tailoring combat to the handheld system. Contemporary reception generally praised its large roster, energetic battles, and strong use of the license, although critics also noted simplified controls and occasional repetition.
