How it plays
The game uses an overhead view. Goku travels through connected areas, speaks with characters, collects items, and completes objectives based on the anime storyline.
Combat is real-time. Goku attacks nearby enemies, avoids incoming damage, and later uses stronger techniques as the adventure progresses. Experience and level increases improve his effectiveness, while story events unlock new locations and encounters.
Plan your run
Explore each area thoroughly before advancing the story. Side objectives and item pickups provide useful experience and resources.
Avoid fighting large groups in confined spaces. Attack, step away from danger, and use healing items when necessary rather than relying only on level increases.
Save progress regularly, especially before major battles and after completing long quest sequences.

Dragon Ball Z: The Legacy of Goku is an action role-playing game developed by Webfoot Technologies and published by Infogrames for the Game Boy Advance. It adapts the early Dragon Ball Z story, beginning with Raditz's arrival and continuing through the Namek and Frieza arcs. Players control Goku from an overhead perspective, exploring areas, fighting enemies, completing quests, and gaining experience. The game was notable as one of the first Dragon Ball Z adventures designed specifically for a handheld system, although contemporary reception was mixed because of its simple combat, limited variety, and uneven pacing.
