How it plays
How does Excitebike 64 play?
Races use a third-person perspective behind the rider. The objective is to finish ahead of the field while managing speed, jumps, landings, and crashes across motocross courses.
Modes include Exhibition, Season, Time Trial, Hill Climb, and Soccer. Season events provide structured progression, while Time Trial focuses on racing lines and lap improvement. Players steer, accelerate, brake, lean in the air, and perform tricks to gain control and speed.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Excitebike 64?
Use the throttle carefully on uneven ground instead of holding it constantly. Lean forward on takeoff for distance and adjust your posture before landing to avoid losing speed.
Learn where jumps can be shortened or cleared safely, and use Time Trial to memorize corners and bumps. In multiplayer, a consistent line is usually more valuable than risky stunts.
