How it plays
The game uses a first-person perspective. The objective is to survive each map, eliminate enemies, collect weapons and ammunition, find colored keys, and reach the exit. Maps contain ambushes, locked areas, switches, teleporters, secrets, and optional routes.
Final DOOM has two campaigns, each with 32 levels. TNT: Evilution generally emphasizes large, enemy-filled military and industrial spaces, while The Plutonia Experiment is more compact and trap-focused. Weapons, armor, health, and power-ups carry through individual levels only according to the classic Doom rules; progression is based on completing maps and advancing to the next level.
Plan your run
Conserve rockets and cells when safer weapons can handle the encounter, especially during long maps. Learn which doors, switches, and teleporters control progression before committing to a dangerous area.
Search side rooms and suspicious wall sections for secrets, but avoid wasting health on unnecessary detours. In Plutonia, assume that teleporters, arch-viles, revenants, and close-range ambushes may be used together; keep an escape route open and prioritize enemies that can resurrect or pin you down.

Editorial context
A large, difficult classic Doom package with two distinct campaigns.
The maps are memorable, but newcomers may find the difficulty and level layouts demanding.
Final DOOM is a first-person shooter developed by TeamTNT and The Plutonia Team, with id Software overseeing its official release. It contains two separate 32-level episodes: TNT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment. Both campaigns continue Doom’s science-fiction battle against demonic forces, using the original engine with new maps, textures, music, and encounters. The play style is fast, weapon-focused, and exploration-heavy. Players fight through military installations, industrial complexes, and increasingly abstract fortifications while searching for keys, weapons, secrets, and exits. Final DOOM was well received for its substantial content and challenging level design, although its difficulty and occasionally maze-like maps divided players. It remains an important part of classic Doom history and a demanding test for experienced players.
