How it plays

How does Golvellius: Valley of Doom play?

Kelesis explores an overhead overworld divided into connected areas, forests, caves, towns, and dungeons. The main objectives are to uncover the source of the Valley's corruption, obtain important items, defeat guardians, and advance toward Golvellius.

The player attacks enemies in real time, searches the environment, speaks with inhabitants, solves spatial and item-based puzzles, and gathers equipment or magical resources. Progress depends on discovering routes and completing areas in roughly intended sequence; dungeons place greater emphasis on combat, keys, hazards, and boss encounters.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Golvellius: Valley of Doom?

Explore each new region carefully before pushing toward the next dungeon. Talk to townspeople more than once, since clues and useful information are often distributed across several conversations.

  • Upgrade survivability before spending resources on optional purchases.
  • Search suspicious dead ends and isolated terrain for items or passages.
  • Save magic for dangerous enemies and bosses, and learn dungeon layouts instead of rushing through them.
  • If progress stops, revisit earlier areas after obtaining a new item; several routes and secrets are gated by abilities or objects.
