How it plays
Each in-game day is divided between farm work, town activities, and exploration. The player clears land, tills soil, plants and waters crops, harvests produce, and cares for animals. Tools consume stamina, so efficient scheduling and food use are important.
The year is organized around four seasons with different crops, weather, festivals, and opportunities. Money from crops, animal products, and other activities funds tool improvements, livestock, seeds, and farm expansion. Relationship building and marriage-related events provide additional long-term goals.
Plan your run
Plan each season before planting: prioritize crops that mature within the remaining days and keep enough money for seeds, animal feed, and upgrades.

Harvest Moon 3 GBC is a farming and life-simulation role-playing game developed by Victor Interactive Software and published in North America by Natsume. The player inherits a run-down farm and works to restore it while growing crops, raising livestock, exploring nearby areas, and forming relationships with residents. Its day-based structure combines routine farm management with seasonal planning and light adventure elements. The Game Boy Color presentation compresses the series’ larger-console formula into portable play, with simplified maps and interfaces but a broad range of activities. The game was generally received as a capable handheld entry, particularly for preserving the relaxed farming loop and adding portable convenience, although its small screen and limited hardware naturally reduce visual detail and interaction depth compared with console installments.
