How it plays

How does Harvest Moon GB play?

The game uses a top-down perspective. Each day is divided between farm work, exploration, shopping, and visiting nearby characters, with time and stamina limiting how much can be accomplished.

Players clear land, till soil, sow and water crops, harvest produce, care for animals, and sell goods for money. Seasonal calendars change crop availability and events, while profits can fund farm improvements and additional livestock. The game also includes social interactions and marriage-related progression.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Harvest Moon GB?

Plan each day around stamina and travel time. Water crops before spending time away from the farm, and sell or store produce so that harvest income can be reinvested.

Prioritize clearing only the land needed for early crops, then expand gradually. Talk to villagers regularly and give appropriate gifts when relationship progression is important, while keeping enough money for seeds, tools, and animal care.
