How it plays
The game uses a 2D side view. Klonoa moves through tournament stages, avoids hazards, defeats enemies, collects dream stones, and reaches the goal at the end of each course.
The Wind Bullet captures nearby enemies. A captured enemy can be thrown at another foe, used to activate mechanisms, or used to perform an extra jump. Progression comes from clearing stages and advancing through the tournament, with optional collectibles encouraging careful exploration.
Plan your run
Learn the position and behavior of each enemy before throwing it. Some enemies are more useful as tools than as ammunition.
Explore above and below the main route for collectibles, and keep a captured enemy available before attempting a difficult jump. Use the extra-jump ability deliberately rather than throwing enemies immediately.

Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Namco for the Game Boy Advance. Klonoa enters a dream-world competition in which he must clear obstacle courses, defeat enemies, and collect items across compact stages. The game combines traditional running and jumping with Klonoa’s Wind Bullet, allowing him to capture enemies and use them to attack, solve puzzles, or reach higher platforms. Its focused level design suits short handheld sessions while still rewarding exploration. Reception generally recognized its colorful presentation, inventive mechanics, and faithful adaptation of Klonoa’s character, although the smaller GBA format makes the experience more straightforward than the series’ larger console entries.
