Lara Croft
An archaeologist and adventurer searching for clues to Excalibur and the disappearance of her mother.
How it plays
The DS version presents Lara in a primarily side-view adventure with occasional room-based exploration. Players move through ruins and other locations, jump across gaps, avoid traps, fight enemies, and collect items needed to open the route forward.
Levels are divided into stages with platforming challenges, puzzles, checkpoints, and boss encounters. Touch-screen interactions are used for selected puzzles and actions, while progression comes from solving environmental obstacles and reaching the end of each area.
Plan your run
Study each room before moving, since traps and enemy positions are often easier to handle with deliberate movement.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend is an action-adventure platformer developed by Human Soft for Nintendo DS and published by Eidos Interactive. It reworks the console game into a compact handheld experience built around side-scrolling and room-based exploration, environmental puzzles, traps, and combat. Lara searches for clues connected to the legendary sword Excalibur while investigating the disappearance of her mother. The DS edition received a mixed-to-positive historical response: critics generally appreciated its ambition, touch-screen features, and faithful themes, while noting that its structure and presentation differ substantially from the console versions.
