How it plays
Players guide Nemo through compact side-scrolling dream stages filled with platforms, enemies, traps, keys, and collectible candy. The main objective is generally to find the required key and reach the stage exit.
Candy can be thrown to animals. After eating enough, a creature can be ridden and provides a special movement or attack ability. Nemo and his animal companions have limited stamina, so choosing when to use each creature is important. Completing stages advances the story toward the final confrontation.
Plan your run
Study each stage before committing to a route. Collect candy carefully, because it is needed to tame animals and some creatures are essential for reaching hidden platforms or crossing hazards.
Use the animal that matches the situation rather than treating every companion as a simple power-up. Preserve stamina, avoid unnecessary fights, and look for keys and safe platforms before moving toward the exit.

Little Nemo: The Dream Master is a side-scrolling action-platformer developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It adapts Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo comic strip and follows a young dreamer exploring a surreal world while searching for Princess Camille and reaching the palace of King Morpheus. The game combines traditional platforming with a distinctive animal-riding system. Nemo collects candy to tame creatures, then uses their different abilities to cross hazards and defeat enemies. Its imaginative art, varied stages, and demanding but inventive design earned it a strong reputation among NES action games, although its difficulty can be unforgiving.
