How it plays

How does MediEvil 2 play?

The game uses a third-person perspective with exploration across connected objectives and individual story locations. Daniel searches for items, talks to characters, solves puzzles, and battles undead enemies and bosses.

Progression comes from collecting new weapons, ammunition, keys, and quest items. The arsenal includes close-range weapons and firearms, allowing players to adapt to different enemy types. Health and equipment management are important during longer stages.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play MediEvil 2?

Explore each area carefully before moving on. Search side rooms and unusual corners for ammunition, health, keys, and puzzle objects.

Use ranged weapons against dangerous enemies or groups, then switch to melee attacks when there is room to maneuver. Keep a reserve of ammunition for bosses and learn enemy attack patterns rather than trading damage.

When an objective seems blocked, speak to nearby characters again and inspect the environment for an item or mechanism that changes the route.
