How it plays

How does MediEvil play?

Players guide Sir Daniel through linear but exploration-focused stages viewed from behind the character. Each level contains enemies, environmental puzzles, weapons, chalices, and a portal leading onward.

Daniel can jump, attack with melee or ranged weapons, use defensive equipment, and collect health and gold. Completing a stage with its chalice filled unlocks a character’s soul in the Hall of Heroes, where new weapons and rewards can be obtained.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play MediEvil?

Explore every branch of each level before entering the exit portal. Look for colored runes, hidden passages, and chalices; the chalice meter fills when enemies are defeated.

Use ranged weapons to weaken dangerous foes, keep a shield ready for projectile-heavy areas, and save healing items for unavoidable damage. Visit the Hall of Heroes whenever a chalice is complete to improve Daniel’s equipment.
