How it plays

How does Metal Slug 7 play?

Metal Slug 7 is viewed from the side. The main objective is to move through each stage, defeat enemy formations, rescue prisoners, collect weapons, and survive a boss encounter at the end of the mission.

Players can run, jump, crouch, fire in multiple directions, throw grenades, and operate captured vehicles such as the Metal Slug. The campaign contains seven missions with branching routes and hidden areas in some stages. Weapon supplies and vehicles are temporary, so progression depends on conserving firepower and learning enemy patterns rather than building a persistent character.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Metal Slug 7?

Learn the timing of enemy spawns before rushing forward. Many hazards are easier to handle from a crouched position or from the rear of a vehicle.

Save heavy weapons and vehicle ammunition for armored groups and bosses. Rescue prisoners when safe, but do not trade a life for an optional detour. Against bosses, prioritize memorizing attack cycles and use grenades when the boss exposes a vulnerable point.
