How it plays

How does Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra play?

The party explores towns, outdoor regions, dungeons, towers, and other locations from a first-person perspective. Movement is grid-based, and many areas contain doors, chests, traps, puzzles, trainers, shops, and quest-related encounters.

Combat is turn-based. Players choose attacks, spells, defensive actions, and item use for each surviving character, then manage enemy groups through positioning, resistances, and resource use. Progress comes from experience, gold, equipment, spell knowledge, class development, trainers, and solving story and side quests.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Might and Magic III: Isles of Terra?

Build a balanced party with reliable front-line fighters, spellcasters, and support abilities. Keep several damage types available, because monsters and areas can resist particular attacks or spells.

Map every dungeon carefully, save before major encounters, and return to towns regularly to heal, restock, train, and identify or improve equipment. Do not spend all of your money immediately; training and recovery costs become important as the party advances.
