The young protagonist who sets out to rescue Cecilia.
How it plays
Moon Crystal uses a side-view perspective. The player advances through linear stages, overcoming obstacles, avoiding enemies, and reaching the end of each scene while the story unfolds through dialogue and animated sequences.
The hero can move, jump, climb or traverse environmental elements, and attack threats. Stages mix conventional platforming with chase-like sequences and hazards, so progress depends on timing as well as exploration. The game is structured as a story-driven campaign rather than a collection of freely selectable modes.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of jumps and movement before rushing through a screen. Many hazards are easier to handle by watching their cycles and moving only when a safe opening appears.
During chase and action scenes, keep moving while leaving enough room to react. Treat unfamiliar screens cautiously, and use attacks to clear immediate threats rather than relying on them as a substitute for careful positioning.

Moon Crystal is a 1992 Japanese action-platform game developed and published by Hect for the Family Computer, the Japanese version of the Nintendo Entertainment System. It follows a young hero through a science-fiction adventure involving kidnapping, pursuit, and a mysterious crystal. The game combines side-scrolling platforming with story scenes and unusually fluid character animation for its hardware. Players run, jump, climb, evade hazards, and fight enemies while moving through cinematic set pieces. Moon Crystal was not released officially in North America or Europe, but it has earned retrospective attention for its ambitious presentation, detailed animation, and distinctive visual style, despite its limited availability and sometimes demanding action.
