Races take place on scrolling motocross courses viewed from above. The objective is to keep the motorcycle moving, negotiate obstacles and jumps, and finish ahead of the opposing riders or within the required race conditions.

Courses are divided into successive events with increasingly demanding layouts. Steering, acceleration, braking, and positioning are important because collisions and poor landings reduce momentum. Progress depends on completing races successfully rather than developing a persistent rider or vehicle.

Approach jumps with a controlled speed instead of holding maximum acceleration throughout the course. Learn where obstacles appear and position the motorcycle before reaching them.

When several riders are nearby, prioritize a clean line and recovery after collisions. Repeating early courses is useful for learning timing before attempting later events.
