How it plays
Each round is presented on a single fixed screen filled with platforms, ladders, fruit, and hazards. Milk moves around the layout, collects the required fruit, and reaches Yogurt’s house to clear the stage.
The main challenge is controlling jumps while avoiding Nuts and other dangerous situations. Later layouts require more careful timing and route selection. The game focuses on a sequence of short stages rather than a scrolling world or a story-driven campaign.
Plan your run
Study the complete screen before moving. Identify the safest route to the fruit and goal, then wait for Nuts to pass before committing to a jump.
Use short, controlled movements near platform edges. Avoid rushing toward Yogurt if collecting fruit or positioning for the final jump would leave Milk exposed.
Meet the cast
The playable character. Milk runs and jumps through each stage to collect fruit and reach Yogurt.
Milk’s girlfriend, waiting at the goal house.

Before you begin
Treat every stage as a timing puzzle rather than a race.
Keep track of Nuts’ movement before crossing narrow platforms.
Plan the return route after collecting fruit; the safest path may change.
Nuts & Milk is a single-screen platform game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The player controls Milk, who must reach his girlfriend Yogurt while collecting fruit and avoiding the hostile character Nuts. Its compact stages emphasize timing, jumping, and route planning rather than extended exploration. The game is an early Famicom release and is often noted as one of Hudson Soft’s first contributions to Nintendo’s console. Its simple rules, colorful presentation, and progressively more demanding layouts give it a distinctly arcade-like structure. Although small in scope, it is historically notable for helping establish Hudson’s presence on the platform.
