The game uses a two-dimensional side view. Each stage requires Harry Jr. to travel from the entrance to the exit while surviving pits, spikes, moving hazards, enemies, and environmental traps.

Harry can jump across gaps, climb and swing through sections, collect items, and attack enemies with available weapons. Progression comes from clearing a sequence of distinct levels; exploration and careful timing are more important than character statistics or equipment management.

Study each screen before moving quickly, especially where platforms, spikes, and enemies overlap. Short, controlled jumps are safer than running blindly into unfamiliar traps.

Conserve offensive options for enemies that block narrow passages, and search side paths for useful collectibles. When a section seems impossible, look for a climbable surface, swinging route, or alternate timing rather than forcing a direct jump.
