Carter Grayson
The Red Lightspeed Ranger and team leader, known for his bravery and leadership.
How it plays
The game uses a primarily side-scrolling perspective. Players move through stages, defeat enemies with melee attacks and weapons, avoid hazards, collect items, and reach the end of each mission. Different Rangers provide access to different attacks and abilities.
Stages are organized around television-inspired missions and include boss encounters and vehicle-based sections. Progression comes from completing missions and overcoming increasingly demanding enemy groups and hazards rather than from a deep character-leveling system.
Plan your run
Learn the attack range and timing of each Ranger before committing to close combat. Use safer spacing against large enemies, and avoid rushing into groups where repeated hits can trap the character.
Study hazards during the first pass through a stage, especially in vehicle sections. Save health and special resources for bosses, and choose the Ranger whose weapon or movement is best suited to the upcoming obstacle pattern.

Before you begin
Do not treat every Ranger as interchangeable; their attack patterns can make particular encounters easier.
Use short attacks and reposition frequently instead of standing inside enemy groups.
Expect vehicle stages to require memorizing hazards rather than relying only on combat.
Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue is an action platformer developed by Mass Media and published by THQ for the PlayStation in 2000. It is based on the television series of the same name and follows the Lightspeed Rescue team as it battles demons and other threats in and around Mariner Bay. The game combines side-scrolling combat, platforming, vehicle sequences, and selectable Ranger abilities. Players switch among the five main Rangers, each associated with a distinct weapon and specialty. Reception was generally mixed: the licensed presentation and accessible action appealed to younger fans, while critics commonly regarded the level design and combat as repetitive.
