How does Qi Wang: Chinese Chess play?
The board is shown from a fixed, top-down perspective. Players take turns selecting a piece and moving it according to xiangqi rules, using the river, palace areas, and the intervening pieces as important positional features.
The objective is to capture or checkmate the opposing general. Progress is determined by the changing position of the armies rather than by character development or level advancement; a match ends when one side wins or the position reaches an agreed result.
