How it plays
The game uses a top-down map of an editable ecosystem. Players shape terrain and climate, place organisms, and adjust biological traits before letting generations develop. Animals can move, feed, reproduce, compete, and die, while plants form the foundation of the environment.
Progression is emergent rather than level-based. The player can inspect populations, change environmental conditions, alter genetic parameters, and observe whether species adapt or collapse. Scenarios and laboratory-style experimentation provide structure, but there is no standard character campaign or mandatory end state.
Plan your run
Begin with a small, stable ecosystem instead of introducing many species at once. Establish plants and basic food sources before adding herbivores and predators.
Change one environmental or genetic variable at a time, then observe several generations. Keep backup saves before major experiments, because climate changes and aggressive species can destabilize the entire food web.
Use population and environmental information to identify bottlenecks. A species that reproduces quickly may still disappear if its food, habitat, or genetic diversity is inadequate.
