How it plays

How does Sky Kid play?

Sky Kid uses a forced-scrolling side view. Red Baron flies continuously from left to right, shoots airborne enemies, drops bombs on ground installations, and collects or carries the mission flag before returning to the landing area.

Stages contain enemy aircraft, tanks, ships, bridges, balloons, and other targets. A player loses a life after a collision or damaging hit. Two players can share one screen as Red Baron and Blue Max, taking turns or flying together depending on the mode and timing of play. Progression comes from clearing successive missions rather than building a persistent character or weapon level.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Sky Kid?

Keep the aircraft near the center of the screen so there is room to react to enemies entering from either side. Use the forward shot for aircraft and the bomb for ground targets; dropping a bomb too early can leave the next installation untouched.

Plan the return flight after taking the flag. The objective is not complete until the aircraft reaches the landing area, so avoid unnecessary attacks and preserve the altitude needed to clear terrain and enemy fire.

Meet the cast

Who are the key characters?

1

Red Baron

The primary pilot and player character, flying the red aircraft through Sky Kid’s missions.

2

Blue Max

Red Baron’s blue aircraft partner, available as the second player character.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Bomb ground targets only when the aircraft is aligned above them; the bomb follows a downward path rather than the shot’s horizontal line.

  2. 2

After collecting the mission flag, prioritize a safe route back to the landing area instead of chasing additional enemies.
