  • The tongue is most useful when the snake is aligned with nearby Nibbley Pibbleys.

How it plays

How does Snake Rattle 'n' Roll play?

The game uses an isometric perspective. Each stage is a self-contained obstacle course filled with platforms, moving hazards, enemies, collectibles, switches, and environmental traps. The goal is to eat enough Nibbley Pibbleys to become heavy enough to ring the exit bell before time runs out.

Rattle or Roll can move, jump, and use the tongue to eat nearby prey. Eating enough prey increases the snake's weight and may change its appearance. Falling, taking excessive damage, or failing to meet the weight requirement can cost a life. Later stages demand more accurate jumps and more careful route planning. The game supports one-player and two-player cooperative play.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Snake Rattle 'n' Roll?

Learn the fixed layouts instead of rushing blindly. Eat Nibbley Pibbleys in safe areas first, then use the increased weight to activate the exit bell.

Use short, deliberate jumps near edges, watch moving platforms before committing, and avoid unnecessary fights. In two-player mode, coordinate routes and avoid pushing each other into hazards.
