How it plays

How does Snatcher play?

Snatcher is played from a first-person command interface. The player selects commands to move between locations, talk to characters, inspect objects, use items, and advance the investigation.

The story is divided into chapters and follows a mostly linear sequence of cases. Action scenes use a first-person shooting interface in which the player targets enemies across a grid-like view. Progress comes from examining evidence, choosing useful dialogue or investigation commands, and reaching scripted story events.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Snatcher?

Examine every available object before leaving a location, especially during crime-scene investigations. Speak with characters repeatedly when new commands or evidence become available.

During shooting sequences, keep the cursor moving and target enemies quickly. Save before major investigations and chapter transitions so that missed clues or an unfavorable outcome can be retried.
