Ryu
Capcom martial artist and one of the crossover characters represented in the card roster.
How it plays
The game uses a top-down adventure map outside battles. The player explores locations, talks to characters, obtains cards, and challenges opponents while progressing through the story.
Battles are turn-based card matches. Players spend cards to deploy characters, attack the opposing side, and use effects that alter the field or support other cards. Winning adds cards and advances the campaign; deck construction and card management are central to progression. The cartridge was released in separate SNK and Capcom versions with different card rosters.
Plan your run
Build a deck with a dependable curve of low-, medium-, and high-cost cards rather than filling it only with powerful characters.
Keep support and defensive effects available for important turns. Learn opponents' card themes, remove dangerous characters early, and avoid spending every resource before the opponent's next turn.

SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash is a collectible card game developed and published by SNK for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. It brings together characters from fighting games and other properties associated with SNK and Capcom, turning their abilities into cards used in compact head-to-head battles. The player travels through a light adventure structure, acquires new cards, and builds a deck around attack, defense, and support effects. Its accessible rules and large crossover roster made it a notable handheld interpretation of the SNK-versus-Capcom rivalry. Contemporary and later reception has generally praised its depth, presentation, and suitability for short portable sessions.
