How it plays
Each stage is viewed from a fixed single-screen perspective. The objective is to defeat every enemy before moving to the next room, while avoiding contact with enemies and hazards.
Players throw snow at enemies until they are completely covered. A snow-covered enemy can be rolled into other enemies or kicked across platforms, creating chain reactions. Stages become more difficult through faster enemies, tighter layouts, and bosses, while bonus items can improve scoring and snowball effects.
Plan your run
Work from the upper platforms downward when possible, since uncontrolled snowballs can remove enemies and open safer routes.

Before you begin

Snow Brothers is a single-screen arcade-action platformer developed by Toaplan and adapted for the Nintendo Entertainment System by Capcom. Players control Nick or Tom, two snow-throwing brothers who must rescue the kidnapped princesses by clearing vertical rooms filled with monsters. The main play style combines platform movement, projectile attacks, enemy trapping, and fast rolling snowballs. The NES version preserves the arcade game’s core structure while presenting a home-console adaptation with its own stage progression. It is remembered as a demanding but approachable cooperative-style arcade game, with colorful presentation and increasingly hectic enemy patterns.
