Spider-Man
The playable superhero investigates the Spider-Slayer invasion and fights through the game's stages.
How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective. Spider-Man moves through linear platforming stages, avoids hazards, defeats mechanical enemies, and reaches the end of each area. Vertical sections, narrow platforms, and environmental obstacles require careful movement.
Progression is stage-based, with tougher encounters and boss fights appearing as the adventure advances. Spider-Man's jumping, physical attacks, and web abilities are central to dealing with enemies, although the small screen can make incoming threats difficult to read.
Plan your run
Move cautiously near screen edges and unfamiliar platforms, because enemies and hazards can appear with limited warning. Learn the timing of jumps before attempting long gaps.
Use attacks economically and avoid rushing into groups of enemies. Against bosses, observe their movement pattern first, then strike during safe openings rather than trading damage.

Spider-Man 3: Invasion of the Spider-Slayers is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by B.I.T.S. and published by LJN for Game Boy in 1993. It follows Spider-Man as he investigates an invasion of automated Spider-Slayer machines and confronts enemies inspired by Marvel's comics. The game combines platform navigation with direct attacks and web-based abilities, using compact stages designed for the handheld screen. Its difficulty and sparse presentation reflect the technical limits of the Game Boy. Contemporary coverage was limited, and later assessments have generally treated it as a modest licensed action game rather than a standout Spider-Man adaptation.
