How it plays
The game is played from a third-person perspective. Spider-Man explores compact 3D levels, completes objectives, fights enemies, collects items, and reaches an end-of-stage confrontation or set piece.
Players can punch, kick, use several web techniques, climb surfaces, and swing or zip between suitable points. Missions mix combat with platforming, stealth-like movement, switches, timed hazards, and pursuit sequences.
Progression is primarily story-based. New situations and web abilities are introduced through the campaign, while optional collectibles and performance rewards encourage replaying completed stages.
Plan your run
Learn to combine movement with web attacks instead of fighting every enemy at close range. Webbing can interrupt dangerous opponents and create openings for a short attack sequence.
Explore the edges of each area before triggering the next objective. Hidden items and alternate paths are often placed above, behind, or below the obvious route.
During boss encounters, watch for environmental hazards and attack only after the opponent finishes a committed move. Repeatedly rushing in usually leaves Spider-Man exposed.

Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro is a 2001 PlayStation action-adventure game developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision. It follows Spider-Man as he investigates Electro’s plan to obtain the Bio-Nexus Device, an energy source capable of greatly increasing his power. The game combines third-person platforming, hand-to-hand combat, web attacks, exploration, and environmental puzzles across urban and industrial locations. Players move through a sequence of story missions while confronting villains including Electro, Sandman, Hammerhead, Shocker, and Lizard. Enter Electro was generally regarded as a solid follow-up to Spider-Man, with praise for its comic-book presentation, varied abilities, and expanded level design. Its camera and occasionally awkward platforming were more commonly criticized, but it remains one of the notable Spider-Man games on the original PlayStation.
