How it plays
Players guide a series of Yoshis through six worlds, each divided into eight main stages plus optional challenge stages. The objective is to reach the goal while collecting flowers, red coins, and stars to improve the stage score.
Yoshi can swallow enemies, turn them into eggs, throw eggs at targets, flutter after jumping, and ground-pound soft surfaces. Baby Mario remains temporarily safe inside a bubble after Yoshi is hit; recovering him before the timer expires is essential. Scores can unlock bonus stages and contribute to a perfect 100-point stage result.
Plan your run
Protect Baby Mario first. After taking damage, focus on recovering the bubble before attacking or collecting items; losing the timer costs a life.
For high scores, explore every route, collect all five flowers and twenty red coins, and finish with thirty stars whenever possible. Use eggs to trigger distant switches and reveal hidden objects, and ground-pound suspicious soft platforms.
