Various anime protagonists and pilots
The game features a large crossover roster of heroes, ace pilots, and villains from multiple mecha anime series.
How it plays
Battles use a turn-based, grid-based tactical format viewed from an overhead perspective. The objective is usually to defeat enemy units, protect allies, survive a set number of turns, or meet a scenario-specific condition.
Players move mecha, select weapons, manage energy and ammunition, and use pilot spirit commands. Units gain experience and can be upgraded between missions. The campaign advances through story scenarios, with some decisions and battlefield conditions affecting routes or available events.
Plan your run
Position fragile units behind sturdier machines and check weapon range before ending a turn. Avoid exposing pilots with low armor or poor evasion to concentrated enemy attacks.
Use spirit commands for decisive moments rather than spending them automatically. Upgrade frequently used units and weapons, and prioritize objectives that award experience or funds when the scenario permits.

Before you begin
Read weapon ranges and terrain effects before moving.
Save before major story decisions and difficult scenarios.

Super Robot Wars F Final is a Japanese tactical role-playing game developed and published by Banpresto for the original PlayStation. It is the concluding chapter of the Super Robot Wars F storyline and brings together robots, pilots, and plot elements from numerous real-robot and super-robot anime series. Players command a large allied force in turn-based battles on grid-based maps, combining positioning, weapons, spirit commands, and upgrades. The game is built around a long campaign with extensive dialogue and crossover events rather than short standalone matches. It was well regarded by series fans for its enormous roster and dramatic finale, while its high difficulty and lengthy battles made it a demanding entry.
