The game includes exhibition play and a season mode. Season play tracks standings and player performance across a schedule, with roster management and substitutions adding strategic choices. Success depends on reading formations, choosing plays that exploit defensive coverage, conserving timeouts, and using each team's strongest players effectively.

Use short passes and running plays to learn a defense before attempting deep throws. Watch the defensive alignment: overloaded sides often signal that a run or pass in the opposite direction may be safer.

On defense, switch to the player closest to the ball and use the speed burst selectively. Preserve timeouts late in each half, and favor reliable field-goal attempts when a long drive is unlikely to reach the end zone.
