How it plays
How does Tennis play?
Matches use a single-court perspective with the player positioned behind the controlled tennis player. Move around the court, return the ball, and time shots so they land inside the opponent’s court while avoiding easy returns.
The game is organized around tennis scoring and match play rather than a campaign or character progression system. Difficulty and match settings provide the main variation, while improvement comes from learning positioning, timing, and how to exploit open court.
Plan your run
What is the best way to play Tennis?
Stay near the center of the baseline after each return so you can cover either side. Move early toward the ball, but avoid running so far that the opposite corner becomes exposed.
Use controlled timing rather than swinging immediately. Aim returns away from the opponent when possible, and pay attention to the ball’s bounce before committing to a shot.
Before you begin
What should you know before playing?
- 1
Recover toward the middle of the court after every shot.
- 2
Watch the opponent’s position before choosing where to return the ball.
- 3
Practice serving and returning until the timing becomes consistent.
