Fun School 2: For the Under-6s
DOSEducational
Documented for this version
DOS Tetris releases use different keyboard layouts; no edition-specific controls are confirmed here.
How it plays
The playfield is viewed from the side. Random tetrominoes fall from the top, and the player moves or rotates each piece to form complete horizontal lines without leaving unusable gaps.
Completed lines disappear and award progress, while the remaining blocks settle downward. The game becomes more demanding as pieces fall faster; play ends when the stack reaches the top. DOS editions may differ in scoring, preview displays, starting levels, pause behavior, and available two-player or campaign-style modes.
Plan your run
Keep the stack low and build a fairly even surface rather than creating isolated towers. Reserve one vertical column when possible so a long bar can clear four lines at once.
Avoid covering holes that cannot be reached by later pieces. As the speed increases, prioritize safe placement over ambitious setups, and use a pause only if the particular DOS edition documents one.
Before you begin
Plan the landing position before the piece reaches the bottom.
Clear lines regularly to prevent the stack from becoming too high.
Treat the long bar as a valuable tool, but do not depend on receiving it.
Tetris is a falling-block puzzle game for DOS in which the player arranges descending tetrominoes to complete horizontal lines. The supplied platform designation does not identify a single DOS edition, and different releases may have different developers, publishers, graphics, sound, controls, and modes. Its core play style remains focused on quick spatial decisions: rotate and move each piece before it reaches the stack, then use completed lines to create space. Tetris became one of the most influential puzzle games in history and was widely praised for its simple rules, escalating challenge, and unusually replayable design. Because the specific DOS release is unknown, edition-specific credits, date, title-screen options, and keyboard mappings are left unspecified.
