The GunCon is the intended light-gun controller.
Cover behavior is central to the game and is tied to the supported control scheme.
How it plays
The camera moves along fixed routes through urban and industrial environments. The player aims at enemies, fires quickly, and takes cover whenever incoming attacks are signaled. Remaining exposed too long leaves Richard vulnerable, while hiding prevents attacks but also stops him from shooting.
The main game is organized into linear missions with scripted enemy groups, hazards, and boss-style confrontations. Progress depends on clearing each encounter rather than exploring or collecting equipment. The central challenge is balancing speed, accuracy, and safe use of cover.
Plan your run
Use cover as soon as an enemy attack warning appears, then expose yourself only long enough to eliminate the immediate threat. Prioritize enemies who are about to fire rather than shooting harmless targets first.
Keep the reticle moving between enemy positions and learn the timing of scripted encounters. Against bosses, observe their attack patterns and use brief openings instead of remaining exposed while waiting for a shot.

Time Crisis: Project Titan is a 2001 PlayStation light-gun and rail shooter developed and published by Namco. It follows agent Richard Miller as he confronts a terrorist operation connected to the criminal Wild Dog. The game uses the series' defining rhythm of exposing yourself to shoot and ducking behind cover to avoid enemy fire. Players progress through a sequence of scripted missions filled with armed soldiers, vehicles, and large encounters. A PlayStation GunCon is the intended controller, although standard controllers are supported. Reception recognized its faithful Time Crisis mechanics and solid presentation, while noting that it was shorter and less ambitious than the main arcade entries.
