How it plays
The game uses a side-view perspective and presents a sequence of linear platforming stages. The main objective is to reach the end of each area, defeat or avoid enemies, and overcome environmental hazards.
Players move, jump, attack, and collect items while progressing through themed levels. Several playable Tiny Toons have different abilities, so choosing a suitable character can make particular sections easier. Stages culminate in challenging encounters and the adventure becomes more demanding as it advances.
Plan your run
Learn the timing of each character’s jump and attack before relying on speed. Short hops are safer around low ceilings and moving hazards, while attacking from a distance or from a platform edge reduces unnecessary damage.
Choose the character whose abilities suit the stage, collect useful items without taking risky detours, and memorize enemy patterns. Saving health for the final sections is more valuable than rushing through easy areas.
Meet the cast
The principal hero and a balanced playable character who leads the rescue adventure.
A playable friend with his own movement and attack characteristics.
A powerful playable character known for his distinctive spinning style.
A playable blue cat whose abilities provide another approach to the stages.
Buster’s sister and a central character in the Tiny Toon Adventures cast.
Before you begin
Use character abilities deliberately rather than treating every stage the same.
Watch enemy movement before crossing narrow platforms.
Practice the later stages because hazards are often placed close together.
Tiny Toon Adventures is a side-scrolling platform game developed and published by Konami for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991. It adapts the animated television series into a rescue adventure starring Buster Bunny and several of his friends. Players guide a selected character through colorful stages filled with enemies, platforms, hazards, and collectible items. The game emphasizes straightforward running and jumping rather than complex exploration, while character selection gives the adventure some variety. Its bright presentation, recognizable cast, and responsive arcade-style action were generally well received, although the short length and occasional difficulty limited its depth. It remains one of Konami’s more approachable licensed NES platformers.
