How it plays
Choose teams and play exhibition games, a season, playoffs, or the Home Run Derby. The game includes all 30 teams and stadiums listed for the handheld release, with batting, pitching, fielding, base running, and roster decisions compressed into simple Game Boy Color controls.
Plan your run
Learn the timing for each pitch type, place fielders before the ball is hit, and use the season mode to identify reliable hitters and pitchers. In a close game, take the safe base and avoid an unnecessary throw that gives the opponent an extra advance.
Triple Play 2001 is the USA/Europe Game Boy Color baseball game developed by Handheld Games and published by THQ. The handheld release adapts the Triple Play series into a compact arcade-style baseball game with MLB teams and single-player or multiplayer play.
