About Game Boy Color

Game Boy Color was Nintendo's enhanced successor to the original Game Boy and part of the fifth generation of video game hardware. It added color graphics, more memory, faster processing, and broad compatibility with the existing Game Boy library.

Its compact cartridges and long battery life supported a large portable catalog, while games such as Pokémon Gold and Silver helped sustain Nintendo's handheld dominance into the early 2000s.
