How it plays

How does TwinBee play?

TwinBee uses a top-down vertical-scrolling perspective. Players move their aircraft in eight directions, shoot flying enemies, and drop bombs on ground installations, formations, and bosses. Each stage ends with a large enemy encounter.

Clouds hide bells that can be exposed by shooting them. Further shots change a bell's color, allowing players to collect power-ups, while missed timing can make the bell disappear or create an unwanted item. The game includes one-player and cooperative two-player modes, and progress follows a fixed sequence of stages with limited lives and continues.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play TwinBee?

Keep moving, but avoid crossing directly through dense enemy fire. Use the aerial shot and ground bomb deliberately so both attack layers remain active.

  • Shoot cloud bells from a safe angle and collect upgrades only when their color is useful.
  • Bomb ground targets as soon as they become dangerous rather than saving every bomb for bosses.
  • In two-player mode, coordinate movement to cover opposite sides and avoid taking each other's power-up opportunities.
  • Learn boss movement patterns and preserve a life for the later stages.

Before you begin

What should you know before playing?

  1. 1

Cloud bells change color when shot; plan the next shot instead of collecting them immediately.

  2. 2

Ground enemies and aerial enemies require different attacks.

  3. 3

Cooperative play can make crowd control easier, but overlapping movement increases collision risk.
