Convoy
A recurring heavy-vehicle fighter known for raw durability and aggressive ramming.
How it plays
The game uses a third-person perspective behind the vehicle. Objectives vary between destroying opponents, protecting targets, collecting items, and completing character-specific missions.
Players drive through open arenas, collect weapons and power-ups, use environmental hazards, and combine vehicle attacks with special abilities. Story progress unlocks additional events and reveals different character outcomes, while battle modes focus on defeating opponents within the arena.
Modes include a character-driven Campaign, single-event battles, and multiplayer options. Winning fights and completing objectives expands access to vehicles, arenas, and scenario content.
Plan your run
Use the arena as cover rather than trading fire in open ground. Collect weapons early, learn which attacks track moving vehicles, and save powerful special attacks for opponents that are damaged or trapped.
Keep moving, use jumps and destructible scenery to break enemy aim, and check objectives before concentrating on eliminations. In multiplayer, separating opponents and controlling weapon pickups is usually safer than pursuing one target continuously.

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense is a vehicular-combat action game developed by Luxoflux and published by Activision for the original PlayStation. It combines arena driving with heavily armed cars, destructible scenery, exaggerated weapons, and a comic-book interpretation of 1970s America. Players choose rival drivers and fight across large environments rather than following conventional racing rules. The game supports story-focused missions, competitive battles, and multiplayer modes. Its sequel expanded the vehicle roster, arenas, weapons, and character abilities while retaining the first game’s irreverent tone. Contemporary reception generally recognized its variety, destructive play, and multiplayer appeal, although the controls and visual presentation could feel rough compared with more polished console action games.
