How it plays

How does Whomp 'Em play?

Whomp 'Em is viewed from the side. Soaring Eagle runs, jumps, climbs ladders, attacks with his staff, and uses special abilities acquired from defeated guardians. Each area contains platforms, hazards, enemies, and a guardian battle at the end.

The world map presents several main areas that may be completed in different orders. Defeating a guardian provides a new power, allowing players to exploit weaknesses or handle later obstacles more effectively. After the main areas are cleared, the game continues through a final sequence of stages.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Whomp 'Em?

Learn enemy patterns before advancing, especially around pits and moving platforms. Short, deliberate jumps are safer than rushing through unfamiliar sections.

Choose stages according to the abilities you need, and use each guardian's weakness when possible. Conserve health by attacking from a safe distance and avoid unnecessary contact with regular enemies.
