How does Yoshi play?
Enemies fall into four columns. The player shifts the lower and upper platform sections to guide pieces into useful positions and prevent any column from filling to the top.
Matching enemy pieces are removed when they meet. A Yoshi egg consists of two halves; placing the matching halves together clears the stack and awards a larger payoff. The game becomes faster as the level increases.
One-player and two-player modes are available, with the second player competing on a separate field. Rounds continue until a column reaches the top.

What is the best way to play Yoshi?
Keep the four columns close in height so that one overloaded stack does not end the round. Plan platform swaps before pieces reach the lower section, especially when several different enemy types are already stacked.
Use Yoshi egg halves to clear tall columns whenever possible, but avoid creating an egg that leaves an awkward combination above it. In two-player games, prioritize safe clears over risky attempts to build a large chain.
