How it plays

How does Yoshi's Egg play?

The playfield is viewed from the side, with enemies falling into vertical columns. The objective is to prevent the columns from reaching the top while arranging Yoshi egg halves so that enemies are enclosed and removed.

As stages progress, falling speed and pressure increase. Success depends on planning where pieces will land, preserving useful gaps, and clearing several enemies at once rather than reacting only to the next piece.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Yoshi's Egg?

Watch both columns before committing an egg half, and avoid filling a column simply because a move is immediately available.

  • Build stacks that can be capped for a clear.
  • Keep space open for faster later stages.
  • Prefer multi-enemy clears when the layout allows them.
  • Use the slower opening stages to establish a safe arrangement.
