Gomez Addams
The playable character and head of the Addams household, who searches for his family.
How it plays
The game uses a top-down perspective. Gomez explores connected areas, fights enemies, searches for objects, and solves environmental puzzles while trying to rescue the missing members of the Addams family.
Progress depends on finding keys, weapons, protective items, and other equipment. New discoveries provide access to previously blocked rooms or paths, so revisiting earlier locations is often necessary. The adventure is primarily single-player and follows a structured sequence of exploration and rescues.
Plan your run
Search every room before moving on, especially for keys and equipment that are easy to overlook. Keep track of locked doors and blocked passages so you know where to return after obtaining a new item.
Use the environment to manage enemy encounters rather than rushing into groups. Explore methodically, and revisit earlier areas whenever a newly acquired object suggests that a previously inaccessible route can now be opened.

Addams Family Values is a top-down action role-playing adventure developed and published by Ocean Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995. The game is based on the Addams Family film sequel of the same name, but presents its own exploration-focused interpretation of the setting. Players control Gomez Addams as he searches for kidnapped members of his family through mansions, gardens, underground areas, and other dangerous locations. Its play style combines maze exploration, combat, item collection, simple puzzles, and light role-playing progression. Gomez gains equipment and useful objects that open new routes or improve his ability to survive. Reception was generally favorable compared with earlier Addams Family games, particularly for its overhead viewpoint and more structured adventure design, although its difficulty and occasional repetition were also noted.
