How it plays

How does Asterix and the Great Rescue play?

The game uses a side-view perspective and presents a sequence of platforming stages. Asterix moves across forests, villages, forts, and other areas while avoiding pits, traps, enemies, and moving hazards.

The main objectives are to reach the end of each stage, defeat or avoid opponents, collect useful items, and complete rescue-related tasks. Progress is linear, with new stages becoming available after successful completion. Movement, timed jumps, and close-range attacks are the core skills required.

Plan your run

What is the best way to play Asterix and the Great Rescue?

Learn the timing of enemy movements before attacking. Short, controlled jumps are safer than running blindly through unfamiliar terrain.

Conserve health by avoiding unnecessary contact with enemies and hazards. Explore the edges of platforms for collectibles, but do not sacrifice a life for an item when the route is dangerous.
