Wolverine
A close-range fighter who relies on his claws and regenerative mutant abilities.
How it plays
The game uses a two-dimensional side view. The main objective is to guide a chosen X-Man through successive stages, defeat enemies, avoid traps, and reach the end of each area.
Players move, jump, attack, and use the selected character's abilities. Stages are organized as linear platforming challenges with hazards and boss fights, and progress comes from completing one area before moving to the next.
Plan your run
Learn the attack range and movement style of the selected X-Man before attempting difficult sections. Wolverine is suited to close combat, while Cyclops and Gambit can generally engage threats from farther away.
Take time to identify enemy patterns, keep moving around projectile attacks, and avoid rushing across unfamiliar platforms. Save health for boss encounters by clearing hazards carefully rather than trading hits.
Meet the cast
A close-range fighter who relies on his claws and regenerative mutant abilities.
An X-Man who attacks with powerful optic blasts.
A mutant capable of using weather-based powers in combat.
A kinetic-energy user who fights with charged playing cards.
The extradimensional villain who traps the X-Men in his dangerous world.
Before you begin
Choose a character whose attack range matches the stage: ranged attacks are useful against dangerous enemies, while close attacks can be effective in tight spaces.
Watch platform edges and moving hazards before committing to a jump.
Boss patterns become easier to read when you keep a safe distance and attack between their actions.
X-Men: Mojo World is a side-scrolling action platformer developed by Eurocom and published by Sega for the Game Gear. It is based on Marvel's X-Men and centers on the team being drawn into the dangerous dimension controlled by Mojo. Players select an X-Man and fight through stages filled with enemies, hazards, platforms, and boss encounters. The roster gives the game some variety because each hero approaches combat differently. Its portable presentation uses colorful comic-book imagery and compact levels suited to the Game Gear's screen. Contemporary coverage generally treated it as a competent but technically limited handheld action game, with its character selection and licensed setting providing much of its appeal.
